Planning
HealthShare’s regional planning function provides expertise to undertake service planning and reporting of regional activity, as specified by the Midland District Health Boards (DHBs) chief executives and board chairs.
The Midland Regional Services Plan aims to bring a regional perspective to planning and service delivery to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for people living in the Midland region.
It is produced annually with key stakeholder groups including Midland DHBs' general managers planning and funding, chief operating officers, and general managers Māori health, clinicians, regional clinical networks, community, primary, and secondary service providers, and DHB staff.
Progress reports are produced quarterly, and can be viewed on the Resources page of the website. Reporting is monitored by the Ministry of Health and Midland DHBs’ chief executives and boards. A summary of the region’s highlights can be found in the 2017-18 Midland RSP Summary.
